“Good Times”, the very excellent comedy of the 1970s. It was spun off from Maude and centered around the Evans family, who lived in Chicago. It starred Esther Rolle as Florida, the family matriarch, who was the former maid of Maude Findley. John Amos as James, her husband. Jimmie Walker as their eldest son, James Jr., known as J.J. Bern Nadette Stanis as their daughter, Thelma. Ralph Carter as their youngest son, Michael. Ja’net DuBois as their neighbor and best friend, Willona Woods.
